You may cancel a non-refundable booking but, as the name suggests, you won't receive any money back. These bookings are non-refundable regardless of the reason for your cancellation. Depending on your circumstances, you may be able to make a claim on a travel insurance policy to cover the cost of an unforeseen cancellation of a non-refundable booking.
If you cancel a refundable booking, you may receive money back - as long as you are not too close to the check-in date. Cancellation penalty periods vary by property and rate type, so be sure to check the terms on your itinerary before cancelling your booking.
How to cancel your accommodation
Click on the 'Manage Booking' button in your confirmation email or select the 'Manage Bookings
' link in the User Menu in the top right-hand corner of the website. You will need your email address and itinerary number or password to access your booking. Click on the red 'Cancel Booking' button at the top of your booking summary and follow the prompts.
